The film ‘Alice in Wonderland’ is being directed by Tim Burton. The screenplay was written by Disney’s own Linda Woolverton, of Beauty and the Beast, Homeward Bound, and The Lion King previously. The movie is based on Lewis Carroll’s beloved series of books that were first published in 1865. Disney is bringing the flick in both digital 3D and 2D theaters worldwide on March 5th, 2010 early next year.

Speaking to Elle Magazine, singer Avril Lavigne said, my new album will be released in November. A new song I penned for Black Star perfume commercial might be included in the effort as one of its singles.

So far, Avril Lavigne has released three studio albums such as “Let Go” in 2002, which peaked at number 2 on Billboard Hot 200. Second album was “Under My Skin” in 2004 and third “The Best Damn Thing”.

Recently, Avril gets an award at 2009 Napanee Ontario Multicultural Festival in June but she was not attended the show.

King of Pop Michael Jackson is no more

King of Pop Michael Jackson has died on Thursday, 25th June 26, 2009 at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles after suffering with a cardiac arrest. The 50 years old Jackson was pronounced dead soon after he arrived at an LA hospital.

According to reports, Jackson was not breathing when paramedics were called to his Los Angeles home this afternoon, June 25th. Paramedics at the scene performed CPR on the singer, who was then transported to the UCLA Medical Center. Jackson arrived at the hospital in a deep coma; attempts to resuscitate him failed as he was completely unresponsive. He was declared dead at 2:26 p.m.

Promoters of the shows said in March that he had passed a lengthy physical examination. Jackson was rushed to the UCLA Medical Centre shortly before 12.30pm local time.

David Fincher to direct Facebook film

Oscar nominated director David Fincher of “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” fame is in talks with Columbia Pictures direct a film about the world famous social networking website titled “The Social Network”. Aaron Sorkin is writing the script for this film.

The movie will portrays the evolution of Facebook from its 2004 creation on the Harvard campus by sophomore Mark Zuckerberg to a juggernaut with more than 200 million members.

Scott Rudin, Michael De Luca, Dana Brunetti and Trigger Street’s Kevin Spacey are jointly producing this film and will be started in 2010.
